This Section of the County Website represents the ongoing work of the Calaveras County GIS Committee to develop a more efficient and user friendly system for accessing and distributing County information. The GIS Project was started through the cooperative effort of The City of Angels Camp, The Calaveras County Water District, The Calaveras Council of Governments, and the County of Calaveras. This joint effort has been formalized in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), signed by each of these four participants. The MOU outlines an agreement between the participants to share GIS data openly.

Virtually all of the information gathered and used by the county can benefit by being linked to spatial data. The GIS will further be used to distribute the county datasets to the general public within the constructs of the MOU.

IE8 browser issue with Print Map in some viewers.  When the print map option is chosen, the highlighted area does not appear on the output.  Open Tools on the browser and select Compatibility View.  Close and reopen your browser and the problem should resolve itself.

 New General Plan map viewer - ARCGIS

This preliminary viewer is subject to change. The intent of developing a General Plan viewer is for its use by decision makers, including its diagrams or maps, to coordinate land use and infrastructure decisions. At the same time, given the long-range nature of a General Plan, its text and maps should be general enough to allow a degree of flexibility in decision making as conditions change.

This viewer will eventually replace the old Aerial Imagery viewer.

 New Elections Viewer ARCGIS

The Elections Viewer provides information on polling sites and voter precincts based on address identification and queries.  It also provides polling site, voter precinct, community service area, and tax rate area layers based on current elections data.

 New Tax Parcel Lookup Application - ARCGIS

This viewer will eventually replace the old IMS Parcel Information Retrieval viewer. This map may open in a smaller window. Expand the window and refresh.
